Does not have a back support for the wooden boardLeonI rated this 1 star so it would be visible next to the other review that mentioned the back of the desk sagging. It's true that there are two support beams, but the back one supports the metal surface in the back and not the main board, so it still could still sag despite having two supports. I only have a relatively light weight in the center (my monitor) so there isn't really any perceptible sagging for me, I just wanted to clarify that the second support would not help in keeping the back from sagging.
Including this issue, I would rate it 3 stars. As far as stability, the four legs have knobs for fine adjustment of the leg lengths, though I did not need to adjust it and it was perfectly fine without it. The height being adjustable is nice, but even at the lowest height it was still 4-5 inches too high to use as a computer desk ergonomically (I am about 5'6", so the height might be perfect for someone 6' or taller). 1
Exactly what I was hoping forJacobIt looks good, sturdy as hell, and thanks to some youtube videos, it was easy to assemble. I did try to use a monitor stand with clamp but I feel it would affect the grill and didn't want to try it. I'm perfectly fine using normal monitor stands since it's big and spacious. I will say it was worth every penny. Having it delivered is pricey so if you have a vehicle that can fit it I would highly recommend you pick it up and save money at the delivery facility. 5
This is a great desk. We actually wanted a different color that was on the floor but not in the bin area.DeniseThere is more to say. It is a good desk. 4
Great large sturdy deskChristianLove the desk plenty of room for consoles figures and a bit more, also sturdy for a desk mount. Highly recommend5
So much space! Stains easily thoughAdiaI won't take a star away for the fingerprints transfer because this desk is amazing! It's 63 inches across so it fits my 2- 27 inch monitors and my laptop without feeling crowded. I'm using it for work and gaming. I can fit my notebooks and daily planner, desk organizer, lamp, pens and some fake plants and it still has room.
I turned the indented side towards me and the flat side in the back. I had to feed the end of my cables through the bottom since some of the plugs were too big to fit through, but that's not annoying. I love the mesh holder to hide cables and keep them off of the floor. Putting it together with another person was easy.
For the finger print issue, I would suggest a large mouse pad. I have one now, but will get a bigger one to cover most of the surface so I'm not constantly cleaning it. I didn't see care instructions so I'm looking for tips on the internet to clean it properly. Overall, a great desk that was on sale because of the anniversary event.5
Desk for HomeKipThis is a great desk and I am very happy with the purchase5
Solid design, great cable mgmt, surface gets dirtyAlexVery sturdy. You can install the surface panel with the indentation facing in or out. I recommend leaving the indentation facing the back of the desk so that you can actually use the cable net/organizer below. I'm a really big fan of this cable management design. Having no wires under the desk makes it look nice, saves you from kicking out a cable, and is easier to sweep. The only complaint I have is that the surface gets dirty really easily: use a coaster, dust regularly, and wipe with a wet cloth to get skin oil marks off.5
Great desk for the priceCristianGood
Great looking desk with minimalistic design
Quite sturdy; rated for a decent weight capacity
Very handy height adjustment functionality helps with ergonomics, though it's difficult to adjust once desk is assembled
Cable management channel helps keep the desk tidy
Roomy enough to house multiple monitors and a PC
Reasonable build quality for the price
Bad
Finish on wood part is a fingerprint magnet; it'll look dirty immediately after cleaning it
Cable management net is a cheap solution that feels like an afterthought; for the price, metal hooks or a solid plastic channel would be more functional and look better
Metal grill on the back clashes with the otherwise clean aesthetic, can limit monitor mount options since it doesn't provide much flat surface on the bottom, and it's function to provide air intake for a PC is questionable at best
Weight capacity can be limiting if using multiple monitors with desk mount in addition to a PC4
Nice deskKathyWish it came in white but this is a nice desk. Very sturdy! Love the cord keeper pocket. The assembly directions were a little vague but we got it put together. I like this desk.5
Best Desk I have owned!AndyI have had many desks/gaming desks in the past. Some I got cheap and some were overpriced. I saw this desk and loved the size, design, and adjustable height options. The price was not bad. I decided to try it out and placed the order. I live about an hour from the nearest IKEA so I decided to ship. The only negative experience with IKEA I have had is the shipping price and how long it took them to get it to me once I had paid. 150 dollars is outrageous for shipping considering Walmart and Amazon will ship for free in some cases. It took them 45 days to get the desk to me. With that being said, the desk made up for the shipping and then some though. It is very sturdy and easy to put together with a little help from another to hold the cross-member rod and the frame rods. The holes in the back allow for your PSU to get fresh air underneath and the cord net holds everything together tucked toward the back. For the price this desk is awesome. Just work on better shipping options IKEA!5
Obsessing over the cord control!AmandaThis desk immediately caught my husband and my eye when we noticed the cord net in the back. My husband games and is an engineer working from home so our office set up has been out of control with cords everywhere. This desk is super sturdy; very easy to set up; the black metal appearance is chic; and the I love the esthetic of the cord concealment. It is 10/10!5
Game deskJulieMy son loves his new gaming desk set up, plenty of space for keyboard, mouse and two monitors plus speakers too5
Perfect Desk for Gaming or OfficeJasonI upgraded a 20yr old pressboard beast and got the Utespelare. Wide open space, cable management, adjustable height, solid construction and easy assembly. I couldn't ask for more.5
Great size and very sturdy!MonseThe desk is very customizable to the height of the user, I was surprised to see that is very sturdy, the cable bag holder at the bottom helps so much to keep everything tidy5
SimplyJenniferThe perfect clean look for a teenager room5
Great DeskFrankThis is a very sturdy desk with lots of space. It has a space for wires, which makes it look very clean. Very happy with it!5
Great for Gaming and Computer WorkDylanDesk is super easy to assemble. Large surface area for laptop, monitor, keyboard and console. Top can be turned around if you have no need for the slot cut out for cords and wires. I am a tall guy at 6'5" and the adjustable height feature gives even a man like me plenty of leg room with more room to spare. Desk surface is easy to clean and love the metal mesh in the back for circulation for your monitor and console. 10 out of 105
It’s a great desk!!!DilysIt’s a great desk!!!5
Expensive finger print magnets.AmandaI bought this at $269 - about $100 too much IMHO. This thing shows every fingerprint you put on it so Get a big mouse pad. It's a little wobbly so be careful with it. Also the mesh wire is cool and all, but for the amount I paid, I'd expect to see a raceway or something a bit more robust. Lower the price or increase the quality, it's in a weird spot now.4
Highly recommended. Just right forMitziHighly recommended. Just right for what I need.5
